Spruce Grove, AB – After a whirlwind start to their inaugural season, the Energy City Cactus Rats are finally coming home, at least for the weekend, and you’re invited!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 as the Cactus Rats return to Spruce Grove for a special Homecoming Weekend at Henry Singer Park. It’s going to be two days of big-league energy, local pride, and summer fun, and you won’t want to miss a moment.

Ballpark Construction Continues, but the Game Rolls On

While the construction continues on the highly anticipated new Energy City Metro Ballpark, the Cactus Rats are doing what they do best, bringing high-quality baseball to their fans, wherever the diamond may be. “We've always been open about this ambitious ballpark build,” said Pat Cassidy, Managing Partner. “There’s never been a set opening date, but we’ve stayed committed to transparency every step of the way. The finish line is in sight, and in the meantime, we’re playing with heart and hustle… for Metro Edmonton and its fans.”

There's No Place Like Home(coming)

The July 5 & 6 matchups at Henry Singer mark a special moment for the Cactus Rats and their loyal supporters. After weeks of road games and temporary diamonds, the team is eager to see local fans pack the stands and bring the energy back home.

What to Expect:

• Bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket
• Don’t forget sun protection (hat, umbrella, sunscreen!)
• Enjoy shaded areas under mature trees
• Access to washrooms on site
• Local food trucks serving up summer eats
• Raven Wolf Brewery’s beer garden for fans 18+

 Just in Case: Rainout Policy 101

The Cactus Rats, along with their league partners in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL), follow a consistent set of refund, rainout and cancellation policies:

• If a game is cancelled before it becomes official (fewer than 4½ innings if the home team is ahead, or 5 innings if the visitors are ahead), online ticket holders will receive an automatic voucher for a future home game via their Igniter Ticketing account.
• If a game is completed (5+ innings), it's considered official and will not be refunded or rescheduled.

A Note to Our Season Ticket Holders

We’re deeply grateful to our inaugural season ticket holders for believing in this team and this dream. While the wait for the new ballpark continues, we’re making sure your support is recognized.

Here’s what we’ve done:

• All 2025 season ticket holders have been granted a full credit toward their 2026 season tickets.
• Each ticket holder will also receive a complimentary 4-ticket pack, valid for any 2025 remaining home game or rolled forward to 2026.
